The final day of the NHL regular season finished with some drama on Sunday, as the Maple Leafs and Anaheim Ducks made their fans sweat out possible playoff scenarios.
NHL playoff schedule 2017: First round matchups and dates
It all begins on Wednesday.

Every playoff berth was filled before Sunday, but the Maple Leafs needed at least a point against the Blue Jackets to avoid a first round date with the league-best Washington Capitals. They didn’t get one, and Toronto is stuck with Washington while the Boston Bruins take on the Ottawa Senators.
In the Western Conference, the Anaheim Ducks required one point to win the Pacific Division and earn a draw with the Calgary Flames. The Los Angeles Kings gave the Ducks a scare; Anaheim needed a late goal by Nate Thompson to force overtime and secure the more favorable matchup.
Without further ado, here’s the full schedule for round one of the 2017 NHL Playoffs.
