Per CapFriendly, Jack Eichel was set to earn $2 million if he finished in the top 10 in NHL points per game. He missed 21 games earlier this year, so he was already behind the 8-ball. But Leon Draisaitl ruined everything.
0.01 points! No wonder Eichel was so mad on Monday.
The kicker? If Eichel missed one more game, he would’ve averaged 0.95 points per game, good enough for 10th in the NHL. Oof.
The kicker to the kicker? Draisaitl’s goal was assisted by ... Connor McDavid.
