Chicago was already well-versed in playoff success by that point and easily finished off the Predators before eventually winning its third Stanley Cup in six years.
The Blackhawks are still just as poised in the playoffs, but the Predators they’ll meet in the first round on Thursday will give them a tougher test. Through careful drafting and savvy moves, the Predators are deeper in every area than they’ve ever been. It’s the first real playoff test for the Predators with both P.K. Subban and Ryan Johansen in the mix.
