Connor McDavid has joined an elite group of NHL players.
Connor McDavid becomes 10th player in NHL history to win the Ross, Hart, and Lindsay awards in one season
The Edmonton Oilers captain has joined a legion of NHL greats.

After the 2017 NHL Awards on Wednesday, McDavid ended the night with three trophies: the Art Ross (league’s highest scorer), the Hart (league MVP), and the Ted Lindsay (league’s most outstanding player). Pretty big haul for the 20-year-old, right?
Well, McDavid’s incredible season has landed him among NHL greats. Fifteen players have won both the Ted Lindsay Award and the Hart Trophy in the same year. However, out of those 15 players, only Guy Lafleur, Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Jaromir Jagr, Martin St. Louis, Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin, and Patrick Kane have won all three awards in the same year.
McDavid put up 100 points in his second career NHL season, leading the Oilers to their first playoff berth since 2006. His 70 assists led the NHL and his 1.22 points per game pace also topped the league in his 82 games played this season.
The Oilers captain is the youngest player to win the Hart Trophy since Crosby did so in 2007.
