Ducks fly together, and so do the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL. On Tuesday, the Wings announced one of many themed nights scheduled for their upcoming season, and jerseys from Disney’s famous hockey movie that spawned an actual NHL team are one of them.
Mighty Ducks throwback jerseys will make the Kalamazoo Wings your new favorite ECHL team
Long live the Flying V.

These jerseys, nearly identical to the movie jersey with a replica of their mascot, Slappy, instead of the famous duck, will be worn on Dec. 22 against the Toledo Walleye.
It’s so nice to see a hockey team embrace the Mighty Ducks, as the Anaheim Ducks likely won’t return to their roots anytime soon. The past is in the past for the Ducks, and their orange-splashed jerseys and branding are likely here to stay.
The Mighty Ducks night is just one of many themed events for the Wings this upcoming season. Kalamazoo also has Irish themed jerseys for its green ice game and Captain America themed ones for Marvel night.
More are likely to be coming soon, considering their massive list of themed nights for the rest of the season. Really looking forward to the blocky Minecraft jerseys and ugly Christmas sweaters to come, guys.
