Miami Heat vs Golden State Warriors betting odds, prediction, trends

Miami is tough as an underdog and tough on the road at Golden State over the years. See the Heat Warriors betting odds preview and pick.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat will look to gain ground on the Eastern Conference leading Indiana Pacers when they visit the Golden State Warriors in NBA action on Wednesday night.

The Heat, who are running away with the Southeast Division lead, continue a six-game Western swing when they take on the Warriors in the second meeting between the two teams this season.

The two met on January 2 in Miami; a game won in convincing fashion by Golden State, 123-114, despite taking the court as 4.5-point underdogs on the NBA betting odds menu at shops such as Bovada.

That victory came during a 10-game winning streak SU by the Warriors. However, Golden State has struggled since the streak ended on January 8, in a 102-98 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. The Warriors are just 7-8 SU since; 5-5 SU at home.

The Heat are profitable as underdogs with a 9-3 ATS run in 12 recent games in this situation, according to the NBA database at OddsShark.com.

Golden State is coming off a 123-80 rout of the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, their second straight double-digit win on home court.

The Heat’s current road trip completes a stretch of 21 games since New Year’s Day, during which they played 14 on the road. Although Miami is 7-3 SU in their last 10 against the Warriors, they have failed to win in Oakland since posting a 106-84 victory in December 2010.

The Heat are also only 3-7 ATS versus Golden State during that time; 1-4 in their last five meetings. In fact, Miami has been far from a safe bet ATS all season, covering in back-to-back games only twice since the beginning of December.

Luckily for those betting on the Heat, the Warriors have also been less than impressive ATS this season. Despite a solid 31-21 record SU, 16-9 at home, Golden State is a miserable 10-14-1 ATS at home this season.

However, the Warriors have covered in four of their last six at home, scoring 100+ points on each occasion.
