Warriors vs. Cavaliers odds, 2016 NBA Finals: Cleveland small favorite at home for Game 4

The Cleveland Cavaliers are small favorites for Game 4 of the NBA Finals as they look to even up the series with the Golden State Warriors.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a perfect 7-0 straight up and against the spread in their last seven games on home court. The Cavaliers will try to even up the NBA Finals at two games apiece with another home win in Game 4 of the series hosting the Golden State Warriors.

Cleveland is a 1.5-point betting favorite for Friday night at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Warriors are 4-2 SU and ATS in their last six games as a betting underdog.

Coming off an historically bad performance in the first two games of the NBA Finals, the Cavaliers faced a must-win situation in Game 3 at home on Wednesday night. The Cavaliers responded to the moment appropriately with a 120-90 win at home, dominating the game at both ends of the court with aggressive play and hustle.

The team played so well in Kevin Love’s absence that fans and bettors are unsure how the Cavaliers should use Love if he is cleared to play in Game 4.

The Cavaliers have performed well as a small favorite in recent months. In its last 11 games as a favorite of 2.5 points or less, Cleveland is 8-3 SU and ATS per the OddsShark NBA Database.

After going 7-0 SU and 6-1 ATS in their previous seven games against the Cavaliers, the Warriors probably aren’t too concerned after just one loss. But there could be some concern growing around the play of Stephen Curry, as the star point guard failed to reach 20 points for the third straight time in this series in Game 3.

Golden State could use a vintage performance from Curry to break any momentum Cleveland might have picked up after Wednesday. The Warriors are 13-1 SU and 9-5 ATS coming off a loss this season.

Friday night’s total is set at 206 points. The UNDER is 4-2-1 in Cleveland’s last seven games at home.

Cleveland’s performance in Game 3 was impressive, but it could all be for naught if the Warriors bounce back and win Game 4. The Cavaliers will need to bring the same intensity and must-win attitude into this game if they want to return to Golden State with the NBA Finals tied up at 2-2.
