Clippers vs. Warriors odds 2017: Golden State looks to extend win streak versus Los Angeles

The Golden State Warriors hope to keep rolling in their return home to host the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday as double-digit betting favorites at the sportsbooks.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors are 7-0 straight up and 4-3 against the spread in their last seven games against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors can extend their win streak over Los Angeles at home this Saturday night.

Golden State is a 12.5-point favorite in Oakland at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In their last two games against the Clippers, the Warriors won by 16 points at home and 17 points on the road.

The Warriors had a seven-game winning streak snapped in a surprising 105-102 road loss to Miami on Monday, but they bounced back nicely with a 113-103 win and cover over the Charlotte Hornets.

Golden State is 6-1 ATS over its last seven games after going just 4-13 ATS in its previous 17 games before that. The team has been up and down against the spread this year with a 22-23-1 ATS record, but it owns the best record in basketball at 39-7 SU.

Over their last 14 instances as a double-digit favorite at home, the Warriors are 12-2 SU and 6-8 ATS per the OddsShark NBA Database.

Betting Line / Total: Golden State -12.5 / 224.5 Points

Trend: The Warriors are 6-1 ATS over their last seven games.

Trend: The UNDER is 6-2 in the last eight games between the Warriors and Clippers.

Blake Griffin’s return to action against the Philadelphia 76ers wasn’t enough to stop the bleeding for the Clippers, who lost 121-110 as 4.5-point road favorites. Los Angeles is 1-3 SU and ATS in four games since losing Chris Paul for six to eight weeks with a thumb injury.

The ailing offense gets a much-needed boost with Griffin back in the lineup, but it may take the forward a few weeks to get back into game shape. The Clippers are 2-4 SU and ATS in their last six games as an underdog.

Saturday night’s total is set at 224.5 points. The UNDER is 6-2 in the last eight games between these two teams and 6-0 in Golden State’s last six games overall.

Theoretically, a healthy Clippers team would be one of the only teams in the Western Conference with any realistic chance of standing in Golden State’s way towards another trip to the NBA Finals. But until the Clippers can stay healthy or put together some success against the Warriors, that idea will remain just a theory.
