Georgia Bulldogs vs. Florida Gators

Where: EverBank Field, Jacksonville, Florida
Betting Line / Total: Georgia -13.5 / 43.5 Points
Georgia Bulldogs
The Bulldogs entered their bye last week clicking on all cylinders, averaging 37.9 points per game on offense while ranking fourth in the nation in scoring defense allowing 12.6 points per game. All but one of Georgia’s wins have been by three touchdowns or more, and the one exception to that rule was a 20-19 road win over Notre Dame that keeps looking better as the Fighting Irish keep climbing in the rankings.
Jake Fromm has been excellent under center for the Bulldogs since taking over the starting job after Jacob Eason left with an injury in Week 1.
Now, Georgia must solve the Gators. The Bulldogs are 0-3 SU and ATS in their last three games against Florida including a loss as 12-point favorites in 2014 per the OddsShark College Football Database.
Florida Gators
Three of Florida’s last four games have been decided by two points or less including losses in each of its last two. Freshman quarterback Feleipe Franks broke a 79-yard-run to show a little flash of explosiveness against Texas A&M, but he’s generally been a dud for this offense passing for just 428 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions over the Gators’ last three games.
Florida is 16-2 SU and 13-3-2 ATS in its last 18 games coming off a bye including a current stretch of 6-0 SU and ATS.
Saturday’s total is set at 43.5 points. The UNDER is 5-1 in the last six games between these two teams.
With both teams coming into this game off a bye, any advantage in rest or preparation is nullified. This bodes well for the Bulldogs in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party as they’ve clearly been a superior team than Florida over the first half of the season.
