Hurricanes vs. Tigers OddsShark Matchup Report

Clemson Tigers

After cruising to a 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS start with an average margin of victory of 25.6 points per game, the Tigers hit an 0-3-1 ATS mid-season slump that included a close call at North Carolina State and an outright loss as 23.5-point favorites at Syracuse.

But over the last three games, the Tigers seem to be peaking at the right time with a 3-0 SU and ATS record and dominant play on both sides of the ball.

In Clemson’s last 12 games as a favorite of 10 points or less, the Tigers are 12-0 SU and 7-5 ATS per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Miami Hurricanes

With back-to-back blowout wins over Virginia Tech and Notre Dame, the Hurricanes seemed to make an emphatic statement that they belonged in the College Football Playoff picture. Yet those two wins were followed up with an early scare in a 44-28 win as 19.5-point favorites over Virginia and then a 24-14 outright loss as 12-point road favorites at Pittsburgh.

Miami is 2-6 ATS in its last eight games coming off a loss as a favorite.

Saturday’s total is set at 47.5. The OVER is 4-0 in the last four games between Miami and Clemson.

The Tigers have been here before. Both of these teams have looked great on defense this season and are deserving of their 11-1 SU records. But while Clemson is surging into this game, Miami may be showing some signs of nerves based on its last two games. The spread may seem like a slight on the Hurricanes, but the defending national champions have earned their spot as the favorite in this one.
