Oklahoma Sooners
For the second straight season, the Sooners have used an early-season loss to get re-focused for a strong finish down the stretch. Oklahoma went 10-0 SU and 7-3 ATS over its last 10 games after losing 45-24 at home to Ohio State last year, and this year has gone 7-0 SU over its last seven games with a 4-1 ATS record over its last five since losing at home to Iowa State.
Baker Mayfield has masterfully led this Sooners offense to an average of 594 total yards per game, which is the highest in the nation.
Week 14 has historically been good to the Sooners, as Oklahoma is 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS in its last nine games played on this week of the season.
TCU Horned Frogs
TCU entered its last encounter with Oklahoma red-hot on defense after surrendering only 6.75 points per game over its previous four games. That run came to a bitter end as the Sooners dropped 38 points on the Horned Frogs in the first half.
The Horned Frogs are at their best when they can control the tempo of the game, which they’ve done often over the course of their 10-2 SU and 7-5 ATS season. TCU has lost six of its last seven games against Oklahoma.
Saturday’s total is set at 63.5 points. The UNDER is 6-2 in the last eight games between TCU and Oklahoma, according to the OddsShark College Football Database.
Before this season’s blowout, each of the previous four games in this series had been decided by six points or less. TCU is certainly capable of putting together a much more competitive performance this time around, but the Sooners will be hard to bet against with the way they are rolling on offense.
