The No. 9 Penn State Nittany Lions are 19-3 straight up and 16-4-2 against the spread over their last 22 games. After falling short of a bowl victory in last year’s 52-49 loss in the Rose Bowl to USC, the Nittany Lions will try to earn a better result on Dec. 30 when they take on the No. 11 Washington Huskies in the Fiesta Bowl.
Orange Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl Odds, Betting Trends, and Game Analysis
Penn State vs. Washington, Wisconsin vs. Miami, and UCF vs. Auburn are highlight matchups on the bowl game betting slate at the sportsbooks prior to the College Football Playoff.

Penn State is a 2-point favorite in Glendale at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. After losing back-to-back games to Ohio State and Michigan State to fall out of the Big Ten championship picture, the Nittany Lions bounced back to win each of their last three games. In their last 12 times coming into a game with a three-game win streak, the Nittany Lions are 10-2 SU and 11-1 ATS.
Bowl Game Betting Odds
Fiesta Bowl: Washington vs. Penn State (-2)
Orange Bowl: Wisconsin (-6.5) vs. Miami
Peach Bowl: UCF vs. Auburn (-9.5)
Washington has also had a strong run over the last few seasons with a 25-4 SU and 17-12 ATS record over its last 29 games. The Huskies have won each of their last four games against Big Ten opponents, and the underdog is 8-2 ATS in the last 10 Fiesta Bowls.
Underdogs have had even more success in the Orange Bowl in recent years, not only compiling a 7-2 ATS record but also a 7-2 SU record over that stretch as well. The No. 10 Miami Hurricanes hope to continue that trend as 6.5-point underdogs facing the No. 6 Wisconsin Badgers in this year’s Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.
Other trends leading into this game aren’t as favorable for the Hurricanes, who are 1-7 SU in their last eight games played in December and 1-5 ATS in their last six games played against Big Ten opponents. Wisconsin is 8-1 SU in its last nine games coming off a loss and 13-0 SU and 8-4-1 in its last 13 games as a favorite.
Despite being the only remaining undefeated team in the FBS, the 12-0 SU and 7-4-1 ATS UCF Knights are 9.5-point underdogs in the Peach Bowl taking on the Auburn Tigers. Auburn is 9-1 SU in its last 10 games coming off a loss, but there are questions as to how up the Tigers will be for this game after being one win in the SEC championship away from a spot in the College Football Playoff.
