The last time Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson stepped into the octagon, both fighters fought to the first draw of their professional careers. The two will headline the UFC 209 card at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with their much-anticipated rematch this Saturday.
UFC 209 odds: Thompson betting favorite against Woodley to headline card on Saturday
Stephen Thompson and Tyron Woodley look to settle the score from their excellent UFC 205 bout as they face off at UFC 209 on Saturday with Wonderboy the betting favorite.

Thompson is going off as a -160 favorite to win the UFC Welterweight Championship at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. “Wonderboy” earned his last title shot on the heels of a seven-fight winning streak dating back to 2013. The 34-year-old is regarded as a superior striker to Woodley, but in the last match between these two, Woodley was more effective and landed more strikes.
Woodley is going off at +130 to defend his title. Woodley started off strong in his UFC 205 bout against Thompson, but endurance was a factor as he relinquished the lead he’d built up in later rounds. The current welterweight champion should have the advantage in this fight when he can take it to the mat, which he’ll figure to try to do early and often. This should be an interesting match between two very strong fighters.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is considered by many to be one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the UFC. The submission specialist is a perfect 24-0-0 as a professional and is going off as a -190 favorite this Saturday against Tony Ferguson.
Ferguson (+155) has won nine straight fights and will be the toughest test thus far in Nurmagomedov’s career. The winner of this fight will become the interim lightweight champion, and will be first in line to face Conor McGregor when he makes his return to the octagon.
Rashad Evans has lost each of his last two fights and four of his last six fights overall. Evans will try to bounce back as a -225 favorite on the UFC 209 betting lines against Daniel Kelly (+175), who has won each of his last three fights. On paper, Evans should hold the edges in this bout in power and experience.
Other fights on the card leading up to the main event include Lando Vannata (-400) vs. David Teymur (+300), Marcin Tybura (-155) vs. Luis Henrique (+125), and Alistair Overeem (-145) vs. Mark Hunt (+115).
