Daniel Cormier won the light heavyweight title in a bout against Anthony Johnson back in 2015, and has held on to it since then. Johnson will try to take the title away from Cormier in a rematch of their UFC 187 showdown this Saturday night at UFC 210.
UFC 210 odds: Cormier set to defend title as betting underdog against Johnson
Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson clash in the main event of UFC 210 this Saturday night in Buffalo, on a card that also includes Chris Weidman vs. Gegard Mousasi.

Cormier is an even-money underdog to defend his title in Buffalo at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In the last fight between these two light heavyweights, Johnson knocked Cormier down in the first round and had a series of good strikes in open space. But Cormier’s resiliency and strategy shined through, eventually allowing him to take control and win the title bout by submission.
Cormier has won fights against Alexander Gustafsson and Anderson Silva since then, improving to 18-1 as a professional.
Anthony Johnson is 12-1 over his last 13 professional fights, including a 6-1 record in the UFC, with the only blemish over that span coming against Cormier. Since that loss, Johnson has bounced back nicely with three straight knockout victories over Jimi Manuwa, Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira.
Johnson (-130 on the UFC 210 betting lines) is a superior striker and athlete to Cormier, but he will need to be more patient and calculated and stay off the mat this time around if he hopes to claim the strap.
Chris Weidman took the UFC by storm when he beat Anderson Silva twice in a row en route to a 13-0 start as a professional and a middleweight title. But with back-to-back losses to Luke Rockhold and Yoel Romero, Weidman is suddenly in need of a win to get back into the title conversation. He’ll be a -105 underdog against Gegard Mousasi on Saturday.
Mousasi (-125) has put together an impressive MMA career with a record of 41-6-2, and has found his groove in the UFC of late with four straight wins. If he can keep Weidman off the mat with his strike game, he could hand the former champion a third straight loss.
Other fights on the card leading up to the main event include Jan Blachowicz (-135) vs. Patrick Cummins (+105), Will Brooks (-275) vs. Charles Oliveira (+215), and Cynthia Calvillo (-270) vs. Pearl Gonzalez (+210). Calvillo is undefeated with a 4-0 record so far as a professional.
