Kevin Lee and Michael Chiesa have had similar career trajectories thus far in the UFC, with both entering this fight on a winning streak and two career losses on their resumes. One of these lightweights will jump the other in the division’s pecking order with a win this Sunday night in the main event at UFC Fight Night 112.

Lee is a -140 favorite in Oklahoma City at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Five years younger than Chiesa at 24 years old, the “Motown Phenom” has compiled a 15-2 record as a professional and has won his last four fights.

Seven of Lee’s eight wins in the UFC have come by way of submission, and career statistics point to him having a slight advantage in takedowns over Chiesa with 3.49 takedowns per 15 minutes to Chiesa’s 2.87.

On the other hand, Chiesa (+110 to win this fight) has the height advantage in this bout at 6’1 to 5’9 and has absorbed fewer strikes per minute over his professional career at 2.38 compared to Lee’s 3.08. Chiesa has a 14-2 record as a professional with 10 of those 14 wins coming by submission.

The tale of the tape on these two fighters projects a very close fight, setting the stage for a very intriguing main event.

Johny Hendricks was once one of the top welterweights in the UFC, headlining the main event of UFC 167 in a title fight against Georges St-Pierre in 2013. Hendricks lost that fight by split decision, and has gone just 3-4 over his last seven fights since.

His opponent on Sunday, Tim Boetsch, has had a downward trajectory in his career in recent years as well with a 4-7 record over his last 11 fights. Both men enter this bout hungry for a win, with Hendricks going off as a -225 favorite on the UFC Fight Night 112 odds to get one over Boetsch (+175).

Other fights on the UFC Fight Night 112 card in Oklahoma City include Felice Herrig (-125) vs. Justine Kish (-105), Dominick Reyes (-365) vs. Joachim Christensen (+275), Tim Means (-250) vs. Alex Garcia (+195), and Dennis Siver (-210) vs. B.J. Penn (+170).

Both Reyes and Kish will try to remain undefeated in UFC, entering Sunday’s action with 6-0 career records.
