Amanda Nunes has won each of her last five fights and ended four of those fights in the first round. The only fighter to take Nunes to the cards over that stretch was Valentina Shevchenko, Nunes’ opponent in the main event of Saturday’s UFC 213.
UFC 213 Nunes vs. Shevchenko odds: Betting preview of Saturday’s card in Las Vegas
Amanda Nunes will take on Valentina Shevchenko in the main event of UFC 213 on Saturday in Las Vegas, with the defending bantamweight champion the betting underdog.

Nunes is listed as a -105 underdog to defend her bantamweight title in Las Vegas at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The champion has flourished in the underdog role, closing as the betting dog in all five of her last five fights including her win over Miesha Tate as a +165 underdog to win the title and her win over Ronda Rousey as a +130 underdog in her first title defense.
The opening line pegged Nunes as a -146 favorite in this bout, but the betting public continues to doubt her and has largely chosen to back Shevchenko in the weeks leading up to the fight.
Shevchenko is a -125 favorite to avenge her decision loss at UFC 196 to Nunes this Saturday. That loss was just the second of Shevchenko’s professional career, and she has bounced back with back-to-back wins over Holly Holm and Julianna Pena to earn this title shot.
The last time these two fought, Nunes dominated early but Shevchenko came on strong as the fight went on and Nunes wore out. The championship rounds in this fight should benefit Shevchenko, if the fight gets that far.
The co-main event is another tough one to call as Robert Whittaker (-135) and Yoel Romero (+105) clash for the interim middleweight title. Both fighters enter this match on impressive winning streaks, with Romero at eight straight wins and Whittaker at seven straight.
Despite being 14 years older than Whittaker at 40 years old, Romero has shown no signs of slowing down in his advanced age with an 8-0 record since joining the UFC in a stretch that includes six wins by knockout.
Other fights on the card leading up to the two title fights at UFC 213 include Curtis Blaydes (-750) vs. Daniel Omielanczuk (+475), Alistair Overeem (-130) vs. Fabricio Werdum (+100) and Anthony Pettis (-240) vs. Jim Miller (+190). Overeem and Werdum both have recent losses to Stipe Miocic on their records, and the winner of this fight will likely get another crack at the current heavyweight champion.
