Texas A&M Aggies
Texas A&M climbed all the way up to No. 5 in the AP Top 25 on the heels of an impressive 11-1 SU start through the team’s first 12 games. Just one year removed from a share of the SEC title in 2015-16 that was followed by a run to the Sweet 16, the Aggies looked poised to potentially do some damage in conference play this year.
Instead, Texas A&M has gotten off to a disastrous start in SEC play going 0-3 SU and ATS with a road loss to Alabama and home losses to Florida and LSU. The Aggies have fallen out of the top 25 completely due to their recent struggles.
In their last 18 games on the road, the Aggies are 6-12 SU and 8-10 ATS per the OddsShark College Basketball Database.
Kentucky Wildcats
Kentucky entered the 2017-18 season ranked in the preseason top five of both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll. On the court, the Wildcats haven’t looked particularly dominant at all, ranking an uncharacteristic 86th in the nation in scoring with only 78.9 points per game.
Kentucky is 12-3 SU and 7-8 ATS through its first 15 games and will try to bounce back from a road loss to Tennessee this Saturday. The Wildcats are 11-1 SU in their last 12 games coming off a loss.
Tuesday’s total is set at 141 points. The UNDER is 6-2 in Texas A&M’s last eight games with a posted total.
Florida has taken over early control of the SEC but the conference season is still young. The Aggies and Wildcats still both have plenty of time to take a step forward and improve on their tournament resumes, and a win Tuesday will be a good start for one of these teams.
