The New York City FC has the most points in the MLS standings at 16 with an undefeated record of 5-0-1 through six matches. The club will get its toughest test of the season this Sunday night on the road against Atlanta United.

New York City FC is a +270 road underdog in Atlanta at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Atlanta United is a -110 favorite at home with draw odds on the game paying +275. This is a clash between the top two teams in the East as Atlanta United has soared up the standings with four straight wins since losing its first game of the season. Atlanta has scored 13 goals over its last four matches while surrendering only two.

New York has been dominant all season, leading the MLS in goals scored with 14 through six matches while also boasting the best goals against average in the league allowing only .67 goals per game with four total surrendered in six games. This should be an excellent game between two of the MLS’ top teams, though the line is heavily skewed in Atlanta United’s favor due to the team’s outstanding home pitch advantage. Atlanta is 13-2-3 in its last 18 regular season home games.

New York City FC and Atlanta are tied atop the 2018 MLS Cup odds heading into this matchup.

One season removed from finishing tied for the top spot in the West with 53 points apiece in 2017, the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders are still searching for their first win of the season in 2018. Portland will finally make its home debut after kicking off its season with a disastrous 0-3-2 road trip, and is expected to find its way into the win column as a -235 home favorite hosting Minnesota United (+600 to win, +390 to draw) on Saturday night.

For the 0-3 Sounders, the first win of the season will be a lot harder to come by this Sunday night. Seattle is a +400 underdog (and +275 to play to a draw) visiting Sporting Kansas City (-145). Sporting Kansas City is off to a 4-1-1 start to the season and is 4-0-1 since picking up a loss to New York FC in its first game of the season. In addition to looking for their first win of the season, the Sounders are also looking for their first goal of the season after being held scoreless through their first three matches.
