UFC Fight Night 128 odds: Betting lines and card analysis for Saturday night’s event

Kevin Lee and Edison Barboza both hope to bounce back from losses with a win on Saturday, with the sportsbooks setting Lee as one of the card’s betting favorites.

Kevin Lee had a five-fight winning streak snapped when he lost in his UFC Lightweight Championship match against Tony Ferguson at UFC 216. The lightweight will try to work himself back into title contention with a win Saturday night against Edison Barboza in the main event of UFC Fight Night 128.

Lee is a -145 betting favorite on the UFC Fight Night odds in Atlantic City at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The 25-year-old climbed up the lightweight rankings into contender status with a 9-1 record over his previous 10 fights before UFC 216. He had won each of his previous three fights by submission before being submitted by Ferguson in the third round of their main event bout.

Edison Barboza (+115) is also coming off a streak-ending loss, winning his previous three fights before losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 219. A loss to the undefeated Nurmagomedov didn’t do too much damage to Barboza’s stock, but another loss would hurt.

In this crowded division, both of these fighters can ill afford another defeat on Saturday.

Never one to back down from a challenge, Frankie Edgar decided to take on Brian Ortega on short notice when Max Holloway dropped out of their title fight at UFC 222. The decision ended up being a bad one as Ortega won in the first round by knockout, dropping Edgar out of the No. 1 contender spot in the featherweight division.

Edgar is a -230 favorite as he tries to fight his way back into title contention starting with a win on Saturday over Cub Swanson (+180).

Other fights on the UFC Fight Night 128 card leading up to the main event include Thiago Santos (-210) vs. David Branch (+170), Brett Jones (-115) vs. Aljamain Sterling (-115) and

Dan Hooker (-360) vs. Jim Miller (+270).

Santos is working on a four-fight winning streak and has won eight of his last 10 fights overall.

Jones is a perfect 15-0 as a professional including a 3-0 record in the UFC. Sterling was 12-0 as a professional before losing three of his last five bouts.
