Fresh off a win from the No. 7 post in the Kentucky Derby, Justify will be back in the same post position this Saturday in the Preakness Stakes. While there have been some slight changes in the odds leading up to race day, Justify is still the odds-on favorite to win the race.
Latest Preakness odds: Justify steady as betting favorite heading into Saturday’s race
Justify will race out of the same post position he did in his victory at the Kentucky Derby when he takes the track on Saturday, and the sportsbooks have stuck with him as chalk.

Justify is going off as a -225 favorite on the Preakness Stakes odds at Pimlico at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, down just slightly from his line of -250 earlier in the week.
All systems appear to be a go for the Kentucky Derby winner as Justify has looked sharp in recent workouts. Still, some bettors are worried about the horse’s limp coming off its performance in the Kentucky Derby, which has been written off as a non-issue by trainer Bob Baffert.
Quip and Diamond King were both going off at +1600 to win the Preakness Stakes earlier in the week. After drawing the rail with the No. 1 post position, Quip is now down to +1400 to win the race. Quip has won three of his five career races including a win at the Tampa Bay Derby in which he ran with a career-best Beyer speed of 98.
Diamond King is going in the other direction, now up to +2000 to win the Preakness racing out of the No. 4 post position.
The biggest mover up the Preakness futures betting board is Lone Sailor, who has gone from +2500 to win the race up to +2000. The 100 Beyer speed that Lone Sailor recorded in the Louisiana Derby puts the horse in the same category as Justify and Good Magic as the only horses in the race to eclipse a speed of 99 with their career best.
Lone Sailor had a disappointing 92 Beyer speed in a tough trip at the Kentucky Derby, but the smaller field and post position near the rail at No. 2 should produce a better trip this time around.
Good Magic is still the clear second favorite to win this race at +325 out of the No. 5 post. Bravazo’s odds to win have also stayed steady at +1800 after drawing the No. 8 post while Sporting Chance in the No. 3 post and Tenfold in the No. 6 post have seen their odds sink down to +4000 and +3300, respectively.
