Los Angeles FC hosts FC Dallas in the expansion team’s second home game ever in Los Angeles, with the sportsbooks giving them the edge on the MLS odds.

Los Angeles FC is a -105 home favorite at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. After opening the season with six straight road games and going a respectable 4-2 over that stretch, LAFC finally made its long awaited home debut in a 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders. With the win, LAFC has climbed up to second in the Western Conference standings with 15 points and only two losses through a 5-0-2 (wins, draws, losses) start.
FC Dallas picked up its first loss of the season last week against New York City FC to fall to 3-3-1 on the year. Dallas is a +265 underdog to win on Sunday with draw odds also going off at +265.
When New York City FC came into the MLS in 2015, it entered immediately into an intense rivalry with the New York Red Bulls known as the Hudson River Derby. This rivalry opened with the Red Bulls going 4-0 through the first four games and 6-1 through the first seven, but has shifted New York City FC’s way of late as FC is 2-1-0 in its last three games against the Red Bulls.
The two clubs will do battle again this Saturday when the Red Bulls (+105) host New York City FC (+265 to win, +255 to draw). New York City FC enters the weekend with the most points in the MLS at 20 with a record of 6-2-1 while the Red Bulls are 4-0-3 through their first seven games.
At the start of the season, the top two favorites on the odds to win the MLS Cup were Toronto FC at +350 and the Seattle Sounders at +800. These teams are off to matching 1-1-4 starts and are both sitting in dead last in their respective conferences. Bettors who believe these teams will bounce back and be contenders can get some value on Toronto FC currently at +1000 and Seattle at +2000 on the MLS futures.
Both clubs are expected to pick up home wins this week as Toronto FC (-190) hosts the Philadelphia Union (+500 to win, +330 to draw) Friday night and Seattle (-120) hosts the Columbus Crew (+320 to win, +265 to draw) on Saturday.
