The Portland Timbers will try to add to their winning streak facing the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday, with the sportsbooks making them among the chalk for the weekend.

Portland is a -130 home favorite on the MLS odds over the Los Angeles Galaxy (+355 to win, +270 to draw) at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Five of Portland’s six wins on this current winning streak have been by only one goal, but the Timbers have continued to find a way to get three points week in and week out.
The Timbers face a Galaxy club that has lost five of its last seven games including a 3-2 loss against FC Dallas on Wednesday night. Portland holds a 2-1-0 advantage in its last three games against the Galaxy.
FC Dallas will also be back in action on Saturday as a -125 MLS betting favorite hosting Los Angeles FC (+320 to win, +280 to draw). Dallas flew under the radar a bit earlier in the season due to its high frequency of draws, but the club has earned victories in three of its last four matches and is the only team in the MLS with only one loss, boasting a record of 6-5-1.
LAFC has failed to record a win in each of its last three games with a record of 0-2-1 over that stretch. In one previous meeting between these two clubs in Los Angeles in early May, the result was a 1-1 draw.
The top team in each conference has a good chance of staying atop the table with favorable matches at home this weekend. The Eastern Conference leading Atlanta United is a -180 favorite hosting the Philadelphia Union (+450 to win, +325 to draw) on Saturday and the Western Conference leading Sporting Kansas City is going off at -245 at home against Minnesota United (+600 to win, +400 to draw).
Minnesota United has surprisingly held its own against Sporting Kansas City since joining the MLS last season with a 1-2-1 record in four league matches against Kansas City.
