Premier League odds 2018: Liverpool seeks encore on road as betting favorite for week
Liverpool will try to make another statement this week with a road win over Crystal Palace as one of the betting favorites on this week’s Premier League odds slate.

The road club is a -230 favorite on the Premier League odds for Monday night at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The test for Liverpool’s big offseason moves may not come until the team’s competition stiffens up down the road, but a 4-0 blowout win to open the season is a great place to start.
Crystal Palace (+575 to win, +380 to draw) didn’t get its first win until Week 8 last season, but in 2018-19 it came in the season premiere with a 2-0 road victory over Fulham.
Manchester City also looked sharp last weekend with a 2-0 road win over Arsenal. The defending champions are far and away the biggest favorite on the board this week at -1600 hosting Huddersfield Town (+2800 to win, +1100 to draw) on Sunday. Huddersfield actually pulled off a shocking 0-0 draw in Manchester City the last time these two clubs faced each other in May.
One week after hosting Manchester City, Arsenal’s brutal opening schedule continues with a road match against Chelsea this Saturday. Arsenal (+325 to win, +275 to draw) and Chelsea (-125) played to a 1-1 draw in regulation in the International Champions Cup earlier this month before Arsenal went on to win in penalties. Chelsea is winless in its last six games against Arsenal with an 0-3-3 record.
After picking up a 2-1 win over Leicester City last Friday, Manchester United faces its first road test this Sunday. Manchester is a -135 road favorite visiting Brighton (+425 to win, +245 to draw). Brighton upset Manchester United 1-0 at home last season, snapping Manchester’s four-game win streak against the club.
Rounding out the top teams in action this week, Tottenham is a -400 favorite at home against Fulham (+1000 to win, +500 to draw). Fulham earned a promotion last season in the Champions League playoff but will have its work cut out for it in the Premier League.
