Premier League odds 2018: Manchester City, Liverpool weekend betting favorites

Manchester City and Liverpool have looked strong through the first two weeks and are betting favorites at the sportsbooks on this weekend’s EPL odds slate.

After gutting out a tough 2-0 win on the road against Arsenal in its first league match of the season, Manchester City had a lot more fun last Sunday improving to 2-0-0 with a 6-1 blowout win at home over Huddersfield Town. The club is back on the road this week to take on the Wolves this Sunday.

Manchester City is a -425 road favorite on the Premier League odds in Wolverhampton at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. City opened the 2017-18 season with an unbeaten streak of 20-2-0 to run away with the Premier League title right from the starting gate and seem to be in form for another excellent start to the season here in 2018.

The Wolves (+1000 to win, +550 to draw) have lost each of their last five matches against Manchester City.

Liverpool followed up its 4-0 win over West Ham United with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last week and are the only club in the English Premier League that has not conceded a goal so far this season. Facing Brighton (+1800 to win, +700 to draw) this Sunday at home, Liverpool is the biggest favorite on the board this weekend at -700.

Defeating Liverpool on the road likely isn’t in the cards for Brighton, but the club does enter this match with momentum after earning the first big upset of the season with a 3-2 result over Manchester United as a +425 home underdog.

United will try to bounce back from the disappointing loss this Monday night in the game of the week at home against Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United is a slight +155 betting favorite over Tottenham at +185 with draw odds paying +220. This head-to-head matchup has been very even in recent years with the two teams going 5-3-5 against one another in their last 13 meetings. Tottenham enters the weekend as one of the six teams to start the season off 2-0.

Joining the usual suspects of Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham in the 2-0-0 club are Watford and Bournemouth. Both are slight favorites at home this weekend with Bournemouth (+160) hosting Everton (+165 to win, +245 to draw) on Saturday and Watford (+150) taking on Crystal Palace (+190 to win, +220 to draw) on Sunday.
