Major League Soccer Week 28 Review: San Jose Clinches Playoff Spot; DC Sets Record For Utility

For the first time since returning the MLS, the Earthquakes will be playing in the postseason. Chris Wondolowski scored two goals (giving him 14 for the season) and the Quakes handed DC United its 16th shutout of the season.

The 16 shutouts sets a MLS record, according to Black And Red United, and it was their first since Sept. 4.

The 11 players who started for United tonight have combined for a total of two goals this season. And none since April. And when Moreno was sent off, that number became one.
