Blackpool-Manchester City: David Silva’s First Premier League Goal Gives City Insurance

Blackpool looked defeated after Carlos Tévez's second goal. The effort waned with their hopes deflated, and a third City goal looked likely. While the likely goal scorer seemed the team's star on a hat-trick, David Silva took advantage of lax defending to open his Premier League account.

The second half substitute was the recipient of a direct kick from the right played short, and after moving around one charging defender, easily finished into the far side of Matthew Wilks’ goal.

Manchester City leads 1-3 in stoppage time.
