The Puerto Rico Islanders scored a pair of extra-time goals and the Carolina Railhawks overcome a 1-0 deficit to advance to the USSFD2 finals.

Both teams eliminated sides that have already been accepted as soon-to-be MLS franchises.

It is the first time in three seasons that a U.S.-based team will play for the Division 2 championship.
