Everton 2-0 Liverpool: Toffees Pull Off A Convincing Derby Victory

With their new owners watching at Goodison Park, Liverpool had to be hoping for a good showing against Everton. Instead, the Reds barely made an impression in the first half, and barely threatened in the second. Royal Blue Mersey had this to say about Everton’s dominance:

As convincing a derby win as you will see in a long time, Everton over-ran Liverpool for much of the game and grabbed a vital three points that sees the Toffees leap up to mid table and keeps the Reds second from bottom.
