Didier Drogba Is Back For Chelsea, But Injury Concerns Still Plague The Blues

While Chelsea fans must be excited about the fact that Didier Drogba returns to the pitch this Saturday, after being sidelined for a week with a virus, the Blues’ midfield situation continues to remain slightly troubling. Graham MacAree of We Ain’t Got No History talks about Chelsea injury concerns ahead of the match against Wolves:

Brazilian defender Alex will not be fit, having failed to recover from a muscle tear in his thigh. Nor will compatriot Ramires feature – he picked up a knock against Aston Villa in the late states of our 0-0 draw at Villa Park, and is yet to resume full training with the team. Yossi Benayoun is of course a long-term injury, out with an Achilles tendon tear, and midfielder Frank Lampard is still not fit (although a return to training is apparently forthcoming).

We Ain’t Got No History also gives a probable Chelsea lineup for the weekend. For more coverage of the Blues, visit SB Nation’s Chelsea blog, We Ain’t Got No History.
