Manchester City-Newcastle: Sol Campbell Ties Ryan Giggs’ Consecutive Premier League Seasons Record

When Newcastle United defender Sol Campbell came on for Fabricio Coloccini, the former England international tied Ryan Giggs’ record for consecutive seasons having appeared in the Premier League. More elegantly, Giggs and Campbell are the only players to have appeared in every season of the Premier League since its inception in 1993.

Giggs has spent those 18 season with Manchester United, while Campbell has appeared for Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Portsmouth and Newcastle United.
