The Mexican federation is set to announce their senior national team’s new head coach on October 18th, but who will it be? Victor Manuel Vucetich, Jose Manuel “Chepo” de la Torre, and Enrique Meza appear to be the men in consideration.

    The Mexico Manager Saga Continues

    We reported yesterday that rumors were circulating that Monterrey manager Victor Manuel Vucetich was in consideration for the Mexico job, and it turns out those rumors are true. Soccer reporter for ESPN Scott French wrote for ESPN Los Angeles that Vucetich has met with the big bosses at the federation, including director of national teams Nestor de la Torre and secretary general Decio de Maria.

    It’s reported in the article that de Maria will be looking to announce the new Mexico manager on October 18th, but the club has released a statement, as reported by El Porvenir, that if Vucetich is selected to be the new Mexico manager, he will remain with the club until the end of the current tournament in December.
