Davies Now Says He Wasn’t Driving

Not sure I buy this story or even if it changes anything, but Davies is now saying that he took the rap for a teammate whose driver’s license was already suspended.

Not sure how you go about convincing a police officer that you were driving when you weren’t (that would seem to involve a lot of shuffling of bodies and that would seem to be a very conspicuous thing to do while in a sports car), but that’s the latest anyway.

Said teammate, Jacques Faty, is now reportedly planning to go to police and clear up the situation. Faty and Davies were apparently hoping that Davies would not be arrested for REPORTEDLY DRIVING 125 MPH!!! Not sure what the laws in France are like, but that would seem to be fast enough to get you locked up regardless of your license’s status.

Even if this is true, and Davies wasn’t driving, this still seems to be an indictment of Davies’ maturity. You would think that after suffering an accident like he did that he’d avoid getting into cars with drivers who intend to REPORTEDLY DRIVE 125 MPH!!! You’d also think that Davies would think twice before taking the rap for something like that.
