Red Bulls-Real Salt Lake Battle To Scoreless Draw

It was an exciting, up-and-down game, but neither the New York Red Bulls nor Real Salt Lake was able to push one across as the two Supporters Shield contenders settled for a 0-0 tie.

The Red Bulls extended their Eastern Conference lead to two points over the Crew and RSL moved to four points behind the Los Angeles Galaxy in the Supporters Shield race.

The Red Bulls seemed to have the better of the play for chunks of the second half, but RSL actually had some of the best opportunities with Paulo Araujo and Alvaro Saborio both missing from close range.
