Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez has opened the score in this season's first Bavarian derby. The goal came in the 10th minute of the first half when Gomez tapped in a good cross from Danijel Pranjic who was fed by Munich youngster Toni Kroos. Gomez continues his brilliant form for Munich with the opener being his 6th league goal of the Bundesliga season.
Bayern Munich 1-0 Nurnberg: Super Mario Gomez Finds Opener In Bavarian Derby
In the early stages of the derby, Munich have set the pace with some crisp passing and some good wing play from Hamit Altintop. While Munich enjoy what looks to be a bench filled to the brim with some of their first team players, Nurnberg are sure to find it slightly daunting in fighting their way back into the match down early and having conceded relatively easily.
Besides some good runs from the aforementioned Altintop, Toni Kroos has gotten the better of Juri Judt in the match’s opening stages - truly one way traffic in favor of Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
