Now in the 55th minute, play continues to be dominated by Chelsea. With, Didier Drogba was nearly set-up for an identical goal, it looks a matter of time before Chelsea takes a needed lead. Through a draw will clinch Group F for the Blues, sharing points with Zilina will only heighten tension building around the stumbling club.
Elsewhere, Marco Borriello has pulled one back for Roma, now down 2-1 to Bayern at the Stadio Olimpico. Arsenal is being held and frustrated by Sporting Braga, 0-0. That’s the same scoring in Auxerre between AJA and Milan, while Shakhtar has gone ahead in Partizan after Taras Stepanenko’s 62nd minute goal. Basel still leads CFR Cluj, 1-0, while Real Madrid’s maintained their 2-0 lead at Ajax.
