Fulham Vs. Birmingham City: Sebastian Larsson’s First Goal Of The Year Gives Brum 1-0 Lead At Craven Cottage
The goal came after 20 minutes of what you could call predictable play from Fulham-Birmingham City. Both teams were playing too direct, hoping for mistakes from their opponents – eschewing creativity in favor or opportunism. Birmingham City was the first to see the approach pay off.
Just past the 20 minute mark, Jerome was allowed to run with the ball, breaking through the left side of Fulham’s defense. Once he had the Cottagers turned, he rolled a ball from the left of Fulham’s area back across goal for an oncoming Larsson.
It was an easy finish for the Swede, who recorded his first goal of 2010, putting Birmingham up 1-0 – a score that persists into the 28th minute.
