Before the match really even got flowing, Owen Hargreaves has had to leave the field of play after only a couple of minutes. In what must be a terribly sad moment in the professional career of Hargreaves, the former England international has walked off the field with what appears to be a minor hamstring injury.

Hargreaves’ participation in the match was obviously minimal, but he pulled up a bit slow after his cross into the United box found a Wolves defender who cleared easily in the opening moments of the match.
Brilliant in his own right when fully fit, Hargreaves has lived a nightmare of a career having been out of action for United for what seems to be ages (in actuality, close to two years) as he’s struggled with a myriad of injuries as his 30’s approach.
Hargreaves has been replaced with Portuguese winger Bebe while United continue to push forward for the opener.
