Major League Soccer Playoffs, Leg 2: Time Running Out On RSL

Fabian Espindola has had three golden opportunities to score and neither has resulted in a goal.

The second of those chances came in the 48th minute when Andy Williams set Espindola free inside the penalty area. Espindola was able to get a shot off, but FC Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman was able to kick the ball over the frame despite diving in the wrong direction.

In the 59th minute, Espindola received a pass just outside the six-yard box, but was unable to get much on it and Hartman was able to easily save it.

Hartman, who recently lost out to Donovan Ricketts for Goalkeeper of the Year, has made several key saves in this series and does not appear to have suffered from missing six matches with a knee injury.

Midfielder Collen Warner has entered the game in place of right back Robbie Russell in the 58th minute. FC Dallas has countered with a defensive move, bringing Zach Lloyd in for midfielder Marvin Chavez. Robbie Findley has been brought on for Alvaro Saborio in the 66th minute. RSL’s final substitution was bringing Paulo Aroujo Jr. on for Ned Grabavoy.

RSL trails on aggregate by two goals in the 71st minute.
