Manchester United Vs. Arsenal: Park Ji-Sung Loops Nani Cross Against Far Post, Gives United Lead
The main part of the movement started on United’s right wing, with Nani taking on left back Gaël Clichy. The defender heavy played Nani’s right foot, allowing the right win to cut back onto his weaker, left foot. As Nani entered Arsenal’s area from the right flank, he chipped a cross toward the center, a ball that went off Clichy’s right foot.
The resulting ball floated into the air and onto Park's head, the left wing having cut into the middle of the area. With Sebastien Squillaci late to challenge Park, the veteran midfielder was able to put a looping header toward goal, catching Wojciech Szczesny out of position. The ball went off the far post, into goal, giving United a 1-0, 41st minute lead.
