Real Sociedad Vs. Valencia: 2-1 FT, A Dead Second Half For Los Che...And They Win Anyway
Let’s give Valencia a huge round of applause for playing five seconds of brilliant football today and getting a point out of it! Okay, so I’m going off the deep end here, but Valencia were not good tonight outside of Tino Costa’s stunning free kick. They seriously missed Ever Banega, Juan Mata was mediocre and was withdrawn early on, and both Aritz Aduriz and Roberto Soldado did a poor job of finishing. Real Sociedad were the much more lively side in the second half, but lacked the quality to put Valencia to the sword and take all three points.
The second half was characterized by mediocre defending, but much more so by bad giveaways and a true lack of quality in the final third. Both teams were guilty, though, and a draw was probably the most fair...
Oh no. Oh God. Are you kidding me?
No, that didn’t just happen. Ugh, this is a text medium, so I guess I have to explain. Real Sociedad’s goalkeeper just kicked the ball straight to Aritz Aduriz. Aduriz then skins his defender who didn’t really look like he was trying anyway. He blasts it into the back of the net, 2-1 Valencia. Make that 12 seconds of brilliant football for all three points.
These teams are crap. This really is just the SPL with good looking tan guys instead of narsty gingers. You win, La Liga haters. YOU. WIN.
