We Ain’t Got No History: When It Hurts, We Just Want To Laugh

Graham was no doubt conflicted when the winning 2018 World Cup bid was announced. On one hand, he was no doubt rooting for England to win since that is his country of birth. On the other, We Ain't Got No History is a blog devoted to all things Chelsea, and one of those things is their owner, Roman Abramovich.

Abramovich, as you may have heard, is Russian and very, very rich. A happy owner could very well lead to happy fans.

While the part about happy fans is still to be determined, Graham is salving his wounds by imagining what some of the Twitter reactions might have been if other bids had been chosen.

Here's what he imagined for the United States:

1994 was 16 years ago #fifa #2022

You guys don’t even like football!!!!!!!! Play real sports!!!!! #FIFA

I really want to fly from Seattle to New York to watch games a day apart #FIFA

AMERICA IS THE GREAT STAN #FIFA #2022

I see #FIFA has been bought by the corporate lobbies. No surprise

Visit We Ain’t Got No History to see just how the pithy remarks Graham envisions for all the other potential bid winners.
