FC Dallas Does The Right/Obvious Thing, Re-Signs David Ferreira
“I’ve always said that I felt great with this team. I felt like I was at home,” said Ferreira to the FC Dallas website. “The support of the coaching staff was very important in the confidence it gave me when I was on the field. That’s why I wanted to remain with the team. The team helped me to get all the merits I achieved in 2010.”
If there’s any justice in the MLS world, we’ll eventually discover this was a Designated Player-level deal. Oddly, that was not part of the announcement, though. Considering the MLS Players Union reported Ferreira’s salary at $300,000 last year, a DP contract wouldn’t even require that big of a raise.
