A brilliantly built goal from West Brom has equalized Nikola Kalinic's fourth minute opener, bringing the home side even with Blackburn after 17 minutes. Beautiful movement in transition saw the play go wide right then across goal before left wing Jerome Thomas slammed home Brom's opening goal.
West Brom Vs. Blackburn: Jerome Thomas Finishes Great Somen Tchoyi Cross, Equalizes For Brom
The principle part of the movement say James Morrison break into the final third, dribbling down the center of the pitch. The Brom midfielder played the ball wide right to Somen Tchoyi, who sent his second touch toward the far post. It was a perfectly played cross, bending slightly away from goal as it entered the six at the new post, curled to stay three yards out at the far, a perfect place for Thomas to run onto a redirection. Paul Robinson had no chance to stop an easy finish, leaving the game drawn 1-1.
As expected, Blackburn has had trouble stopping Brom’s sweeping play through the midfield. WBA quickly threatened an equalizer after Kalinic’s opener, and having evened the score on 17 minutes, Brom enters the second half hour looking far more likely to find the match’s next goal. Now in the 32nd minute, the match remains tied, with Jerome Thomas having just failed to curl a 19-yard attempt inside the far post.
