Balotelli & Boateng Fight, Manchester City Can’t Buy Love

At Manchester City's training today, Mario Balotelli and Jerome Boateng came to blows. I know, Balotelli getting upset and losing his cool comes as a complete shock to us all. Reportedly, the Italian striker took offense to what he deemed to be a rough challenge from Boateng and popped up throwing punches at the German, which Boateng returned. The incident only lasted a few seconds before teammates pulled the two apart, but this is hardly the first issue with Balotelli or between players at Manchester City.

The Balotelli and Boateng skirmish comes not long after in-match arguments between Emmanuel Adebayor and Vincent Kompany and Yaya Toure and James Milner. Add in the problems that manager Roberto Mancini has had with Carlos Tevez and Adebayor and it is fair to question the atmosphere at the club.

Balotelli moved to City for £25m this summer and Boateng, Adebayor, Kompany, Toure and Milner cost City a combined £91 million in transfer fees. Although from Liverpool, it appears The Beatles got it right in Manchester that you can't buy love.
