Chievo Verona Vs. AS Roma: Davide Moscardelli Pulls One Back For The Flying Donkeys

Davide Moscardelli brings Chievo Verona back into the match, although visitors AS Roma are still up 2-1.

Just as this observer commented that Chievo seemed to have figured things out in the second half-at least, compared to their first half boot-and-chase performance-Moscardelli put the ball in the net for his side. Yet this time it was more of a goalkeeping error than a brilliant piece of tactical maneuvering by the home side. Moscardelli used his size to keep back the Roma defense before twisting past his man. The shot went straight to Roma goalkeeper Júlio Sérgio, but for some unfathomable reason, the keeper fell to the ground rather than remain standing and save the shot. The ball hit the field and bounced right on by into goal.

With approximately 25 minutes remaining, do Chievo have time to find an equalizer, or more, a winner? The pressure keeps coming from the Flying Donkeys, and while Roma look a bit flustered, they’re managing to get their bodies in front of the ball and knock it away, albeit only for brief spells.
