It is a rare start for Ryan Babel, getting the call while Fernando Torres is tending to his pregnant wife. Liverpool Vs. Aston Villa: Ryan Babel Doubles Reds Lead In 16th Minute

In the channel between James Collins and Stephen Warnock, Babel appeared half a body’s length offside when he beat the defense to the ball and, from the right side of the penalty area, finished just inside Brad Friedel’s far post, giving Liverpool a 2-0 lead.
Babel’s goal came two minutes after David N’Gog gave Liverpool the lead, finishing a corner kick. Now in the 26th minute, Villa is in danger of falling further behind, notably behind the play after a decent start.
