Manchester United Vs. Valencia: Pablo Hernandez Becomes First To Score Against United In This Year’s Champions League
The chance came after a turnover from Michael Carrick ten yards into the United midfielder’s own half. The ball was picked up by Alejandro Domínguez who, racing to the edge of his box, rolled a left-footed pass to an oncoming Hernández, entering the box even with Amos’s left post. The United `keeper raced off his line to cut down the unneeded angles, with Hernández beating him between his legs.
If this result stands, Valencia will finish even with United at the top of Group C and win the group on overall goal difference, one of the last tiebreakers. Should United win or draw, the Red Devils would win the group.
