The original prognosis on Cesc Fabregas' hamstring injury (they're now calling it) had the Arsenal captain set for a three week absence, a time frame that would leave the Gunners without their best player for their October 3 trip to Stamford Bridge.
Arsene Wenger Hopeful Cesc Fabregas Will Be Fit For Chelsea
Not so fast, says Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Today, Wenger expressed hope that Fabregas will be able to play against the league leaders, with the Spaniard having declared his recovery ahead of schedule.
"I hope that he will be ready for the Chelsea match and that he will be fine," said Wenger."But at the moment we don't know, it's too early."
Fabregas is set to miss Saturday’s trip to The Hawthorns as well as the team’s next Champions League match, mid-week in Serbia against Partizan.
