In the 92nd minute, 10 man Valencia have engineered a winner off of a short corner kick to snag three points in stoppage time once again. Valencia Vs. Espanyol: 2-1 Full Time, Mata Hits A Stoppage Time Winner
The goal was questionable, with both Ricardo Costa, the man who made the assist, and Juan Mata, the man who scored appearing to be offsides. The Espanyol players and coaching staff protested passionately after the game was over, but obviously, the referee had little time for them.
There were three very massive decisions in this game, with Carlos Idriss Kameni taking down Aritz Aduriz in the box, Aduriz “slapping” Javi Chica, and Valencia appearing offsides on the winner. Unfortunately, the referee appeared to get all three decisions wrong.
