It was Wayne Rooney who played provider for Berbatov's second of the day after some careless midfield play from Birmingham City gifted the ball to Anderson. The Brazilian midfielder quickly found Rooney who found himself in space with Berbatov to his left and Ryan Giggs to his right.

Rooney played a quick ball to the Bulgarian who took a touch, cut inside and blasted past Ben Foster in goal. It's Berbatov's best ever scoring season in the Premier League as the striker has now netted a league leading 16.
